Bon Fabrics is proud to announce the return of the woven Manx National Tartan, originally created in 1958 by Patricia “Paddy” McQuaid. This beautiful seven colour tartan woven in a poly/wool mix is a wonderful addition to our Exclusive fabrics range.
The Manx National Tartan, distinct from the Laxey and Hunter tartans, had disappeared from shops on the island for decades.
The newly woven fabric has now arrived in store.
To mark this cultural milestone, the first cut was presented to the Lieutenant Governor, in the form of a cushion, accompanied by a booklet detailing the tartans history.
At 375glm 245gsm and in a poly/wool mix with a 150cm width, this multifunctional fabric, can be used for many household accessories & clothing items, including pelmets, kilts, even “trews”.

Washing Instructions: Manufacturer says: machine wash warm (30 degrees max). Do not bleach. Do not Tumble dry. Cool iron on reverse. We strongly recommend testing a small piece first to be sure.
