TYRONE READY MADES

NETS & VOILES

With a stock of plain and patterned net curtains in a variety of drops, we can provide what you are looking for.

To create proper fullness in appearance, when your curtains are hung. It will generally take twice the material or curtain width. Or, twice the width of your window.  So, you would measure the width of your curtain track or pole from left to right, to determine the width of your curtains. If you are choosing a sheer fabric, this can sometimes be much more to provide fullness. Sometimes up to three times the window width.
E.G.
Your window measures 36″ wide. So, the width of your window for curtains will be 72″. (36″ x 2 = 72″). You will therefore need to choose curtains with a finished minimum width of 72″ wide. When hung your curtains will look nice and full.

To measure the length for your curtains. You will need to decide where you would like them to finish in length. Maybe you would like floor length? Or, you would like them to finish just below the window sill? This will be your personal preference. To determine the length therefore, you would measure from the top of the track or pole, to the bottom or where you wish your curtains to end. Moving the track or pole position can effect the finished length of your curtains. This needs to be taken into account. If you wanted floor length, then you would measure from the top of the track (or track position), to the floor. If you wanted your curtains to have extra length so as to sit on the floor, then extra length will need to be added. If you need any help measuring, please get in touch. We’d be happy to help you.
